I am the worst to talk about exercise! lol I have heard so many different things from many different respectable trainers. So it is hard to know what is right or wrong without trying it out.
I don't belong to a gym, just don't have the time to get to one with my hectic life so I choose to workout in the mornings before work.
My favorite workout is Debbie Seibers' Slim in 6, it is a 6 day a week cardio/toning workout that you do for 6 weeks straight and then they send you other workouts after that to keep it going or you can do the 6 week program again if you want.

Number 2
It has 3 different levels and walks you through them. The first one is only 24 minutes but I think it is the hardest one. I am more sore after it than after the 47 or 58 minute ones! It also has a stretching and an ab workout that are quick and easy. It has many different types of activities in it from squats, push ups, kickboxing, crunches, leg lifts and some yoga for stretching afterward.
She says that you need to do it 6 days a week and it keeps you from bulking up that way. This workout helps you slim your waist and REALLY tone your thighs, arms and abs. It is very easy to do and she reminds you to breathe throughout your workout which is a lot more important than most people realize.

Number 3 I know that doesn't help with your gym membership but I just wanted to let you know what I was doing, well, on and off! =0) I am planning on getting into gear big time on Monday because I have an awards ceremony on October 26th that I need to buy a new cocktail dress for and would really like to look good in anything I try on!! =0)
I have heard that for your arms it is better to train every other day on those.
I would highly recommend trying out the Weight Watchers program for your food intake, they truly are the best that I have come across. I use them and don't get hungry throughout the day anymore. I used to but it just took a little bit of time for my stomach to get adjusted to what it really should have been taking in.

Number 4 I would also recommend talking to this guy on traineo, http://bigmex44.traineo.com/, his name is Fred and he is working out on a regular basis at a gym too. He is running a Biggest Loser Challenge in one of the forums that has really helped to motivate me to watch my food intake!
You can find the Biggest Loser forum and check it out, too great! It is also called the Take it Off Challenge, we are just starting week 7 and I have lost a total of 10 pounds! The entire group has been fabulous at motivating and encouraging everyone there!
I really don't want to give any recommendations on a workout schedule simply because I am not familiar with any other than the workout DVD's that I watch and all of them that I do you can find at www.beachbody.com they are a wonderful group! Their most popular one is Power 90, you may have heard of it on infomercials!

Number 5 I know, I know, OH NO! Not an infomercial!! lol Well I have done the Slim in 6 before and IT WORKS! I have seen the Power 90 work just like they say it does on TV! I couldn't believe the results but I had pictures to prove it! lol SO I couldn't deny the results
That is one thing I would definitely suggest is to get into a bathing suit and take front back and side view pictures of yourself and then after about three weeks of doing your workouts (Any one that you choose) if you feel like you are not getting anywhere or the scale is going in the wrong direction, take more pictures and put them next to each other. You will probably be amazed!
I know that after 3 weeks on the Slim in 6 I had only lost a couple of pounds and was ready to quit but I went ahead and took the pictures that they told me too then and I was truly amazed so I kept going and the results were great. I think that it helped so much because you don't notice any loss on yourself from day to day because you see yourself every day! =0)

Number 6 I just didn't keep it up and let myself go back into the lazy lifestyle that I had been used to prior to that and I was sooo mad at myself. I finally got tired of it back in May and did something about it...=0) Now here I am 40 pounds lighter and really enjoying this web site!
Anyway, sorry for the life story! lol If anyone out there has any suggestions for a workout program at the gym for someone looking to tone and lose weight please send your suggestions to Lindsay! She needs our help! Also, please correct me if I was wrong on anything that I told her above as well, I am definitely not an expert! I can only give advice on what has worked for me..=0)
